I have Windows XP professional and I have tested everything before i put it on my Youtube and this website. What version of XP do you have you ? Also is your XP another language other than english?
ALSO- is this the SAME Hard Drive you played the other QUake 2 on? I have over 400+ downloads and I want to know as much as you , why this problem? ALSO- when you did the INSTALL did you use the MAX install?

Ok, So I Downloaded the 188mb version you have, because a long time ago I gave away my CD, to force myself to quit playing (lol), and now want to play this ol' version again, but even though it starts up, when want to start a new game, I get an error message saying I need to have the CD in the drive, and it quits.
Fine then ...I'll download the full CD version you have and install that...except now I get a message saying "This version of Quake 2 will not install on this language version of Windows 95/NT. Bla..Bla...Bla..."
What?! I'm using Windows XP. I will next try to re-load the first version I tried, and see if it "sees" the second version as a CD.
Any other help here?
